LOUISIANA — A 22-year-old man from Denham Springs was killed early Wednesday morning after leading police on a chase following a failed traffic stop in Walker.
According to the Walker Police Department, officers attempted to stop the driver around 1 a.m. after he committed a traffic violation. Police said the driver did not stop and instead led officers on a high-speed pursuit.
Authorities later located the vehicle after it had crashed into a tree along Walker North Road near the intersection of Avants Road. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash…
