Baton Rouge rapper Lil’ Boosie seeks probation to avoid prison for gun charge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge rapper Lil’ Boosie is asking a California judge not to send him to prison after a federal gun charge.

According to court documents, Torence Hatch Jr., 42, was arrested in May 2023 after police found two loaded guns in the vehicle he was in during a traffic stop in San Diego. Hatch said he was in town recording a music video and was set to perform at a nightclub.
