BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A funeral home has started offering discounts for services stemming from murder as youth violence continues to surge in Baton Rouge.
A. Hamilton Platinum Funeral Services off Choctaw has doubled its staff for homicide services and is now pushing for additional security at those services, according to assistant director Keon Preston.
“It’s starting to be a lot in this city,” Preston said. “We’re not burying 75 and 80-year-old people on a daily basis anymore. They’re youngsters. We are burying the future generation, and it becomes very concerning.”…
