Another arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of Marvin Tolliver, who was killed when a fight broke out in a Baton Rouge barbershop in October, making the fifth suspect in custody in connection with the death.
Gianni Rankins, 28, was captured by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force on Wednesday and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a count of second-degree murder, Baton Rouge Police said in a news release.
The shooting happened on the evening of Oct. 15 in the Fade District barbershop on Platt Drive, after a customer, Sylvester Bouligny III, got angry over a missed tattoo appointment, left the shop and returned with two other men, before punching the tattoo artists.
