BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Construction began on a 150-day road improvement project in the Banks neighborhood of Scotlandville, marking the first road work the community has seen in 25 years.
The project will repair 20 roads between Scenic Highway and Interstate 110, including pothole repairs and new LED streetlights. District 2 Councilman Anthony Kenney said the program targets roads that have deteriorated and haven’t received care in a long time.
