BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The LSU Tiger Girls finished in second place in a national cheerleading and dance team competition.
According to LSU, the Tiger Girls came in second place in both the hip-hop and jazz categories at the 2026 Universal Dance Association (UDA) College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship. This marks the highest placement in program history for the Tiger Girls in the jazz category.
In the Hip-Hop Finals, the dancers had an event score of 97.05, coming in second place in Division IA behind the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) with a score of 97.38.
