BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An investigation by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office into the distribution of illegal narcotics led to the arrest of a Baton Rouge man.
Chad Jones, 42, was charged with:
- possession of drug paraphernalia
- illegal carrying of weapons with a controlled dangerous substance
- sale, distribution, or possession of legend drug without prescription or order
- illegal possession of stolen firearms
- possession\distribution manufacturing Schedule II (methamphetamine)
- possession\distribution manufacturing Schedule II (crack cocaine)
- possession\distribution manufacturing Schedule II (fentanyl)
- possession of firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies
- possession\distribution manufacturing Schedule I
EBRSO executed search warrants at three different locations in Baton Rouge including the 11000 block of Susan Avenue, the 1500 block of Gwen Drive, and the 1400 block of Gwen Drive. Following those searches, Jones and another individual were monitored via cellular geolocation data.
Further investigation led EBRSO to seek a fourth search warrant for a home in the 800 block of Hammond Manor Drive…
