BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A total of five people have now been sentenced in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana after they were each convicted on various charges tied to a drug trafficking ring.
U.S. Chief Judge Shelly D. Dick handed down the sentences for Francisco Palma, 45, of Baton Rouge, Juan Villareal, 40, of Roma, Texas, Richard Antunez, 36, of Baton Rouge, Marco Antonio Filos, 44, of Marrero, and Clarence Corey Anderson, 44, of Prairieville.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Louisiana, their sentences were made “in connection with a large-scale cocaine and heroin trafficking network based in East Baton Rouge Parish.”…
