Louisiana High School Trumpet Ensemble earns national recognition, headed to competition in Iowa

ASCENSION — A small, but mighty group of Louisiana high school students, is hitting a high note on the national stage. The Louisiana Private Studio trumpet ensemble, composed of six talented students from Dutchtown, Walker, and St. Amant High Schools, has been ranked among the top 10 high school trumpet ensembles in the nation—the only group from Louisiana to achieve this distinction.

Their impressive accomplishment has earned them an invitation to the prestigious National Trumpet Competition in Iowa, where they will compete alongside some of the country’s most elite young musicians.

“These students have worked tirelessly, balancing school, competitive music programs, and personal commitments,” said parent Jessica Campagna, who helped write the briefing for the group’s fundraising efforts. “They have prepared for this competition completely on their own, driven by passion, dedication, and a desire to represent our state with excellence.”…
