Roshi ramen at Chow Yum

The roshi ramen ($16.50) at Chow Yum always warms me up, physically and metaphorically. With the house broth as its base, the ramen features tare, charred garlic oil, grilled pork belly, a soy egg, mushrooms, enoki and scallions. The broth itself is light, without being too overpowering, but it’s still flavorful and pairs well with the pork belly.

The grilled pork belly was crispy on the outside but cooked through on the inside, offering a smoky flavor that made every other ingredient come to life.
