American Safety, which got its start providing safety training to refinery workers, took another step toward expanding its tourism transportation business by acquiring Dixieland Tours this week.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. But the move gives Belle Chasse-based American Safety 21 more charter buses, bringing its fleet to more than 400 vehicles.
