Five East Baton Rouge public high schools are in line to receive hundreds of quick-locking door barricades meant to protect classrooms and school buildings in the event of an active shooter terrorizing those campuses.
The devices are triggered by turning a rod located just above the door handle, which activates the floor lock and serves as a barricade.
