1 arrested, 2 still wanted in large-scale vehicle theft investigation

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) – A large-scale vehicle theft investigation has led to the arrest of one person and arrest warrants for two others, deputies said.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Tajavious Washington was taken into custody on Monday, February 9. Investigators said they believe he acted in concert with Brandono Cooper and Brian Delcid, who are still wanted by law enforcement.

The investigation initially began with the arrest of Cooper on December 23, 2025, for four vehicle thefts, deputies said. They added that Cooper was released, but additional evidence revealed a much broader theft operation…
