Angry for having his calls blocked, Baton Rouge man paid to have his ex-girlfriend’s car torched

After a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend at her workplace, a Baton Rouge man allegedly paid to have someone light her car on fire. It’s not the first time he’s allegedly done this.

Taddius Cole, 49, was arrested on Wednesday on a count of criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated arson.

Just before 3 a.m. on Feb. 3, Baton Rouge firefighters responded to a call for a vehicle fire at a residence on 68th Avenue. On the scene, the vehicle’s owner told fire investigators she believed her ex-boyfriend, Cole, was responsible…
