BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A 20-year agreement was reached between American Cruise Lines and Baton Rouge to bring river ships back to the city.
American Cruise Lines offers Mississippi River cruises with unique itineraries and personalized service for travelers. Mayor-President Sid Edwards said the company is investing $2 million to restore the city dock that had fallen into disrepair over the years.
“Now we will have nearly 100 dockings per year and hundreds of passengers each week, totaling more than 16,000 new tourists each year. They will be eating at our restaurants, shopping at our stores and visiting our museums and other unique attractions,” Edwards said…
