Suspect arrested in connection with deadly Ford Street shooting

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting on Ford Street in Baton Rouge, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD).

Timothy Thomas Jr., 17, is charged with second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.

The shooting happened in the early morning hours on Feb. 12 in the 4200 block of Ford Street near Plank Road and resulted in the death of 18-year-old Baker High School student Edwyn Williams.
