BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Livingston Parish man is undergoing a skin grafting procedure on Tuesday, Feb. 24, after suffering burns over 30% of his body, according to his mother, Amy Leteff.
Leteff said her son, Brandon Duncan, 47, of Walker, suffered various degrees of burns while sitting in a burned-out shed next to a fire pit in the 34000 block of Buck Carroll Road on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Duncan’s mother stated that someone he knew “poured gas on Brandon and then the fire which caused the fire to explode and ignited Brandon.”
That individual was later identified by law enforcement as James Page, 40, and he was charged with aggravated second-degree battery.
Leteff said her son was able to extinguish the flames and subsequently called 911 from a neighbor’s home.
Leteff went on to say that Duncan was scratching a lottery ticket when this took place, and it was “totally unexpected.”…
