EBRSO arrests two in prescription drug bust | Records show one is a repeat offender

BATON ROUGE — East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people earlier this week after investigating tips that a known drug dealer was allegedly distributing prescription medications throughout the area. Investigators say they seized around 280 lethal doses of fentanyl, along with other pain meds and prescription drugs.

One of the people arrested has a previous conviction for a similar case from 2020.

Narcotics agents began investigating Marcus Clayton this past January after receiving tips that he was allegedly distributing prescription pills. Clayton was the subject of a 2020 EBRSO Narcotics investigation, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of PWITD Schedule II drugs.
