Attempted murder suspect arrested in LSU on-campus apartment, U.S. Marshals and LSUPD involved

U.S. Marshals arrested an attempted murder suspect in LSU’s West Campus Apartments on Monday with LSUPD assistance.

Chase Mays, an 18-year-old who does not attend LSU, was arrested for attempted second-degree murder and the illegal use of a weapon for an incident that occurred last month.

According to WBRZ, Mays allegedly shot a man entering the Lucky Food Mart about 20 minutes off campus with a rifle on Jan. 19. The gunshot victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition…
