BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge woman is seeking community support to help purchase a much-needed wheelchair-accessible van.
Roddneicka Joseph, 24, has faced mobility challenges since infancy. Born prematurely, she experienced early complications that affected her ability to walk. As a young child, she underwent surgery on her legs to help improve her mobility.
Years later, Joseph suffered a life-changing injury during a middle school dance class. After many tests, like an MRI and spinal tap, doctors diagnosed her with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy and Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuritis.
