PORT ALLEN — On March 3, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop A responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 10 east near milepost 147 in West Baton Rouge Parish.
The crash claimed the life of 51-year-old Phillip Scott of Albany.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2025 International tractor-trailer was traveling east on Interstate 10. Traffic was stopped in the area due to construction. At the same time, a 2016 International box truck, driven by Scott, was also traveling east and approaching the stopped traffic.
