Investigation into 60 Gang results in seizure of drugs & arrest of three people

BATON ROUGE — After an investigation into a street gang known as the “60 Gang,” Baton Rouge Police Special Investigations detectives seized a variety of narcotics and arrested three people.

Detectives began their investigation last month after receiving anonymous tips that multiple 60 Gang members were allegedly selling drugs, including fentanyl, from two homes on Geronimo Street. During their investigation, detectives got search warrants for three homes on Geronimo.

On Monday, March 2, the Baton Rouge Police Special Response Team executed the search warrants and recovered the following items:

  • 45 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 23 dosage units of Oxycodone
  • Approximately $5,333 in U.S. currency
  • Approximately 633 grams of marijuana
  • A variety of materials utilized in the processes of cooking, formulating and distributing narcotics.
