North Baton Rouge residents weigh in on plans to redevelop vacant property

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Residents in North Baton Rouge say a long-neglected property at the corner of Plank Road and Choctaw Drive could soon see new life after years of stalled efforts to redevelop the site.

Vacant lots and abandoned buildings have become a familiar sight in the area, something longtime resident Lois Dorsey says reflects years of failed attempts to rebuild the neighborhood she still loves.
