A 10-year-old girl was shot and killed after she and another kid were playing with a gun in the parking lot of the Sonic on Government Street on Tuesday.
The two children, both similar in age, were in the parking lot playing with a gun while their parents were inside the restaurant, said Baton Rouge Police spokesperson Lt. L’Jean McKneely.
