BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The results of an autopsy conducted on an inmate who died at the Louisiana State Penitentiary reveal the cause and manner of death, along with contributory conditions.
The West Feliciana Parish Coroner’s Office released the postmortem examination report for Harold Brooks, 37, of Lafayette. He died at the prison on Jan. 24, 2026.
