Police arrest man accused of robbing Baton Rouge store while armed with knife

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Police arrested a man accused of stealing cigarettes from a Baton Rouge store twice this month.

An investigation into the robbery case in the 9700 block of Airline Highway resulted in the arrest of Nicholas McQuirter, 22. On March 7, he was reportedly armed with a knife when he went behind the store’s counter and allegedly stole packs of cigarettes.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, McQuirter went back to the store days later, on March 11, to steal cigarettes again. He was arrested after being found by patrol officers…
