BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A house fire in the Idle Oaks area near Perkins Road Saturday evening was caused by an electrical malfunction, according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
Fire officials said crews responded to a single-family home in the 2200 block of Idle Oaks Drive at around 5:55 p.m.
When firefighters arrived, they found two occupants already outside and smoke coming from the front door. Crews entered the home and located a fire in the garage.
