LSU women’s basketball head coach Kim Mulkey looked ready to reprimand her players, the officials and anyone else willing to listen during the Tigers’ March Madness matchup against Texas Tech on Sunday.
The Tigers demolished the Lady Raiders, 101-47, in a March Madness wreckage, but it didn’t stop the fiery but fashionable coach from exploding at referees early and often in a sideline performance that came too late, and well after Jessie Buckley’s 2026 Academy Award for Best Actress.
Mulkey’s blowup came with 1:39 left in the first quarter, when MiLaysia Fulwiley was called for her second foul with LSU leading 14-9. Fulwiley protested, and Mulkey reacted with a thumbs-up to signal for a jump ball instead.
