Kim Mulkey tells Flau’jae Johnson ‘you’ve lost your starting job’ after record-setting March Madness game

LSU brushed aside Texas Tech, 101-47, in the second round of the women’s NCAA Tournament on Sunday, the program’s record-setting 16th game of the season with 100 or more points as the Tigers reached a fourth-straight Sweet 16.

It was also star guard Flau’jae Johnson’s final game at the PMAC (Pete Maravich Assembly Center), and the senior exited in the second half to a raucous cheer from the Tiger faithful.

Johnson had tears in her eyes as she exited, hugging coach Kim Mulkey on the way out — they are the only two members of LSU’s 2023 title-winning team still with the program. Meanwhile, Florida’s coach launched an expletive-filled rant before Iowa shattered the March Madness title defense…
