BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A suspect was arrested after an early morning chase that ended in St. Helena Parish on Wednesday, March 25.
Michael Carney, 41, faces several charges, including:
- aggravated flight from an officer
- manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule I
- manufacture, distribution or possession with intent to distribute Schedule II
- theft of a motor vehicle
- possession of a firearm by a felon
- obstruction of justice – evidence tampering
- resisting an officer
- illegal carrying of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance
- possession of drug paraphernalia
A Baton Rouge Police Department officer responded to a call about shots being fired around 2 a.m. at 4708 Tigerland Avenue
