High-speed pursuit ends in arrest of wanted Baton Rouge woman

EVANGELINE PARISH, LA. (KLFY) — A Baton Rouge woman was arrested following a high speed pursuit on I-49 on Tuesday, The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Akeiriyon Mitchell of Baton Rouge was arrested and charged with resisting an officer, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, stop sign and yield signs, maximum speed limit, aggravated assault with a vehicle against a police officer and aggravated flight from an officer.

Deputies said during traffic detail on the southbound lane of I-49, when they attempted to stop a speeder later identified as Mitchell.
