Red Stick Farmers Market to open seasonal markets on Tuesdays, Wednesdays

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Organizers of the Red Stick Farmers Market will soon open two seasonal markets that will welcome visitors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The seasonal markets will be located at the Main Library at Goodwood and the ExxonMobil YMCA between the months of April and June. Year-round markets will continue to operate at 5th Street and Main Street in downtown Baton Rouge and at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center.

The market at the Main Library at Goodwood is set to start on Tuesday, April 14. Every Tuesday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., a group of farmers and food artisans will set up in the library’s public plaza. According to BREADA, which operates the Red Stick Farmers Market, visitors to the library markets can expect local fruits and vegetables, fresh breads, cold-pressed juice, prepared foods and garden plants…
