Woman arrested, accused of attempted carjacking in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge woman was arrested after being accused of an attempted carjacking.

According to an affidavit, a woman arrived at a Baton Rouge police precinct on March 6 to report an armed robbery and attempted carjacking.

The woman told authorities that she went to meet her ex-boyfriend at a residence on Hollywood Street. Upon arrival, the man entered her 2024 black Chevrolet Equinox. During their conversation, he allegedly reached over and removed the car keys from the ignition. The woman said the man then pulled out a gun and placed it on his lap. While looking at the gun, the woman’s driver’s door was opened by a woman who was later identified as London Elis Oubre, 19.

Oubre reportedly started hitting the woman in the face, while the male subject also began striking the victim. The victim told police that while she was being attacked, Oubre told another female to “get in because we finna take the car.”…
