DEMCO CEO Randy Pierce to retire, search for new leader begins

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Randy Pierce, the chief executive officer and general manager of electric utility company DEMCO, plans to retire this year.

The company announced Pierce will keep serving in the company’s top position until a successor is chosen and a transition plan is completed. The DEMCO Board of Directors has started its national search for a new leader. The process is expected to take four to six months.

“The Board is committed to identifying a highly qualified leader who will build on DEMCO’s strong foundation and guide the cooperative into the future,” said the DEMCO Board of Directors in a joint statement.
