Jay Johnson gives injury updates on three veteran LSU hitters, including two starters

OXFORD, Miss — LSU fifth-year second baseman Seth Dardar was unavailable to play on Sunday, according to coach Jay Johnson, after the lower leg injury he suffered last Tuesday got worse as the weekend commenced.

His ailment got to the point where he was replaced by senior infielder Brayden Simpson at second base on Sunday against Ole Miss.

“It was obviously affecting his play the last two days,” Johnson said. “So, you know, you get somebody closer to healthy in there.”…
