Baton Rouge Green issues annual report
Baton Rouge Green has released their 2025 annual report. Here are the numbers.
- 592 trees planted in Baton Rouge
- 4,100 trees actively managed by BRG
- 2,298 community members engaged
- 22 planting locations around the city
- 12 schools engaged through education programs
- In 2026, Baton Rouge Green has already planted 250 trees, with hundreds more to go.
Boomerang Comedy Theater offering class, showcase
Intro to Improv course
Boomerang Comedy Theater, 1600 Government St., will start the six-week course IMPROV 101: Intro to Improv & Short Form Games on May 20. Classes will take place on Wednesday evenings. This is the foundational course for Boomerang’s improv curriculum. It covers improv concepts and introduces students to performance games. Graduates are eligible to move on to 201 (Mechanics & Scene Work) and potentially invited to join a regularly-performing short-form house team upon completion of this class. Cost is $199 including taxes.
