A massive, two-month law enforcement sweep across the Greater Baton Rouge area has ended with the arrest of 60 registered sex offenders who allegedly used the internet illegally and violated state registry laws.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced the results of the multi-agency crackdown, dubbed “Operation Restricted Domain,” on Monday. Led by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the operation used secure law enforcement databases to track down offenders who ignored state registration requirements and engaged in horrific online activities.
“Operation Restricted Domain was a major success and sends a clear message: there are no safe havens in Louisiana for those who prey on children. We will find you, we will arrest you, and we will bring you to justice,” Murrill said…
