Livingston Parish man arrested in rape, extortion case faces new charges

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Denham Springs man accused in a sexual extortion case is back in custody to face new charges, Sheriff Jason Ard announced Monday.

Ricky Foster was charged with two counts of violation of a protective order. Ard stated that Foster was booked after two incidents on Monday. He added that judges advised that Foster be held without bail.

Foster was initially arrested on April 1 on charges of rape, extortion and sexual battery. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, he was later charged with human trafficking and crimes against nature. He was released from jail on May 15 after posting an $800,000 bond…
