Grant County CRT and K9 Storm catch Renton shooting suspect

COULEE CITY, Wash. — The Grant County Crime Reduction Team and K9 Storm helped Renton police catch 24-year-old Benito Uriostegui of Renton, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO).

Investigators said Uriostegui was wanted in a May 14 shooting in Renton where he fired a gun at his ex-girlfriend’s family. No one was hurt.

Uriostegui did not show up for a court hearing and a bench warrant was issued, GCSO said. The warrant listed charges of unlawful discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, second-degree malicious mischief-domestic violence, attempted burglary-domestic violence and two violations of a domestic violence no-contact order…
