Mayor Wilson seeks proposals for $8M homelessness prevention fund to aid 1K households

SEATTLE — Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson announced a new funding opportunity designed to help residents remain housed and prevent homelessness before it begins.

On Wednesday, Wilson and the Seattle Human Services Department (HSD) released on Wednesday a Request for Proposals (RFP) that will provide approximately $8 million in funding in 2027 for homelessness prevention services, including rental assistance, eviction prevention, legal services, case management, and a new centralized application system intended to simplify access to support.
