KING COUNTY, Wash. — Swimming areas at several popular King County beaches and parks have been closed after water testing found elevated levels of bacteria, prompting health officials to urge people and pets to stay out of the water for at least a week.
Most recently, Public Health – Seattle & King County issued the advisory on Tuesday for the designated swimming areas at Juanita Beach Park and Waverly Beach Park. The closures took effect at 4 p.m. on June 16 after recent testing showed bacteria levels exceeded health and safety thresholds.
