Mother Nature seems to know that America is celebrating a birthday soon. Warm conditions across the state will return for July 4 celebrations this weekend as temperatures reach into the 70s and 80s in Seattle and Spokane. No rain is forecasted.
“Abundant sunshine is expected up and down the Pacific Coast,” according to a NOAA weekend forecast.

And Monday, when the country’s eyes will be on Seattle for the World Cup game between the United States and Belgium, should be a warm and sunny afternoon.

Seattle
After a week of cooler temperatures and some scattered rain showers, the heat and sun will return to Western Washington for the holiday weekend. Temperatures are most likely to peak in the low-70s beginning on Friday in Seattle, according to the National Weather Service. Lows are expected to reach the mid to low 50s. Here’s the projected highs for the region:
- Friday, July 3: 73°F, cloudy then mostly sunny
- Saturday, July 4: 73°F, partly sunny
- Sunday, July 5: 72°F, mostly sunny
- Monday, July 6: 74°F, sunny
Seattle is also under a Stage 1 Fire Ban, which prohibits burning yard debris but allows recreational campfires or those in backyard pits (some of which may require permits, so check with your local fire district).
