Incoming Eastlake High School freshman Keshav Arun placed second nationally in Lincoln-Douglas Debate at the 2026 National Speech & Debate Association (NSDA) Middle School National Tournament, which took place from June 16 to 19 in Richmond, Virginia.
The NSDA competition attracts thousands of debaters nationwide. Lincoln-Douglas is a one-on-one format that focuses on philosophy, ethics and public policy, with debaters receiving a new resolution every two months.
