SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a 47-year-old man Tuesday after they said he burglarized a home, ran from officers, and changed his clothes while trying to evade capture.
According to the Seattle Police Department, officers responded Tuesday afternoon to the 1800 block of East Hamlin Street in Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood after a 15-year-old called 911 to report a man in the backyard of a home.
Police said the child’s father returned home and confronted the suspect, who was going through the family’s shed. Investigators said the man had pulled out several items, including a set of golf clubs, an electric skateboard and a generator. Police said the home’s outdoor security cameras had also been torn down.
