More than 30 rounds fired in Pioneer Square shootout, 1 man hospitalized

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is investigating an early-morning shooting in Pioneer Square that sent one man to the hospital and left nearby businesses and vehicles damaged by gunfire.

According to SPD Sergeant Patrick Michaud, officers began receiving 911 calls around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, reporting shots fired near 1st Avenue S. and King Street, an area lined with bars and nightclubs.
