The Cincinnati market is getting its fourth store by Costco Wholesale (Issaquah, Wash.), The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. The big-box retailer has submitted plans to spend $30 million on a location in the Eastgate commercial area on the metro area’s east side.
The store, in Clermont County’s Union Twp., is slated to have 160,000 square feet of space along with 30 gas pumps, according to the filing. Assuming the project gets the okay in two upcoming votes by township trustees, work will start next year and the store will open in 2028, the newspaper notes.
Two of the market’s current Costco stores are on Cincinnati’s north side, in Deerfield and Liberty townships, while the third is just south of the Ohio River, in Florence, Ky. Overall, the chain has roughly 925 stores, including 650-plus in the U.S…
