A homeless repeat felon with a lengthy history of assaults and weapons offenses has been charged with second-degree murder after prosecutors say he fatally attacked a 69-year-old stranger in downtown Seattle’s Westlake Park.
King County prosecutors charged 39-year-old David Martin Kolbach Jr. with second-degree murder in the Sept. 10 death of Franklin Taylor. Court Services reported that Kolbach “lacks a stable address,” and prosecutors detailed a criminal history stretching back more than two decades.
