Washington had a drama-filled offseason when starting quarterback Demond Williams announced his return to Seattle, before nearly entering the transfer portal for LSU, and ultimately honoring his “contract” and returning to the Huskies. His dynamic 2025 season as a starter helped Washington land at No. 17 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll.
Despite beginning the season with a perfect 3-0 record, Washington has completely fallen out of the top 25. They opened with a hard-fought 24-10 win over Washington State in the Apple Cup, but they nearly lost to Utah State in a 16-14 win at home in Week 2. Finally, they beat Eastern Washington 48-16 in Week 3, but it was a sloppy performance.
This week will be Washington’s fourth consecutive home game at Husky Stadium to begin the season in what many consider to be one of the best home environments in college football, which is indicitave with their 29-4 record at home since 2022.
