A woman walking back to her car near the Junction in West Seattle was knocked to the ground, kicked in the head twice and robbed of her phone by a group of four to five suspects on Thursday evening, according to police. The attack happened in broad daylight around 6 p.m., right between the Junction QFC and the Maharaja restaurant, and left the victim hospitalized.

According to West Seattle Blog, the victim was approached by four to five Black male suspects as she walked back to her car, with one yelling, “Hey that’s my phone!” before the group knocked her to the ground. She recalled being kicked in the head twice but reported that she did not lose consciousness, and she told police she did not know the suspects and had never seen them before.
The suspects stole her blue iPhone before fleeing, the outlet reported. She was taken to the hospital by AMR ambulance. Police later found the victim’s damaged eyeglasses among items left behind in a nearby parking lot.
