Sound Transit CEO Dow Constantine will soon make $509,689 a year, on top of retirement contributions and other benefits, after the agency’s board unanimously approved a $30,000 bonus and another pay increase — even as Sound Transit confronts a $34.5 billion long-term funding gap and struggles to deliver projects Constantine helped sell to voters while serving as the agency’s board chairman.
Constantine’s current $474,276 salary will increase to $490,086 on Jan. 1, according to the Seattle Times, followed by another 4 percent increase in April that will push his base salary to $509,689. He could receive additional performance raises of 3 to 6 percent in 2028 and 2029.
